- Treatment plan development
- Individual, group and/or family counseling
- Documentation of services
- Discharge planning
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) placement criteria for treatment and discharge will determine length and intensity of care.
Length of stay is determined by the serverity of need.
Standard Outpatient treatment services focus on reducing those issues that are interfering with your ability to live alcohol and/or drug free. Ongoing weekly groups average 90 minutes in length; while our accelerated Saturday program consists of 3 consecutive Saturdays at 7 hours each week, followed by a discharge session. Outpatient treatment options vary and are individualized for each client. Sessions are available daytime, evening, or Saturday. Both group and individual therapy are available. In addition to groups, an individual session is required each month. Drug and alcohol education is provided as part of our well-rounded Outpatient program. Care continues until you can demonstrate an ability to remain abstinent from alcohol and drugs as monitored by urinalysis.
Extended Outpatient care consists of up to 9 hours contact on a weekly basis. This level of care is reserved for our more severe cases and is determined at the time of admission. Ideally it will include at least 2 groups and an individual session each week. This level of care continues until the client completes required treatment or can be stepped down to the Outpatient Program.
Up to 12 hours of group, psycho-educational and individual services per week for four (4) to six (6) weeks. Morning, evening and weekend schedules available.
Our relapse treatment group is designed to deal with the two primary reasons for relapse: 1) unwillingness to accept or believe the disease model of addiction and 2) unresolved issues that are caused by the losses, hurts and pains that leave us wounded and troubled. This group meets for 12 months, one day per month, between 7 - 9 hours each day. There will be ongoing drug testing as well as one individual session to review treatment plans and to address personal issues that may not be relevant for the group. The cost for each day, which will be on a weekend, will be $25 per hour. The admission requirement into this group is an excess history of relapse and that the individual has completed a level of care equal to or greater than Intensive Outpatient. The group will focus on one step per month, one relapse warning sign per month and one gift per month. This group will utilize Equine and Experiential Therapy as well as presentations, videos and homework assignments to assist in achieve the goals of the individual. This is not a relapse prevention group. We cannot prevent what has already happened. Our hope is to help those suffering from the disease of alcohol and addiction to stop relapsing and begin to build on the success of each other.
This group is based on the Seeking Safety Model prepared by Dr. Lisa M. Najavits that is a treatment model for PTSD and Substance Abuse. Seeking Safety is a topic driven model that has been proven effective for trauma survivors that have alcohol & drugs challenges. The 25 topics have application for our veterans and their families as well in addition to other traumatic events that interfere with the quality of one’s life. This group meets weekly or can be done individually if schedules interfere with daily living activities.
This group utilizes a cognitive behavioral model developed by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services. The Anger Management for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Clients program is delivered either in a group or in individual sessions so as not to interfere with work schedules. The 12 sessions are augmented with 4 additional sessions that include a didactic about personalities, 2 treatment plan reviews and a discharge session.
